Heights coasted past Twinsburg in the opening round of the State Tournament with a 10-0
win. The Tigers had a slow first period, but put the game away in the second when they
peppered Twinsburg with 31 shots. Jason Kelce's second
four-goal game of the season led the way and upped his team-leading total to 22 tallies.
Dee Samuel added two goals, while
Nick Schmidt, Dan Crowell,
Ethan Farris and Jon Hall
each tacked on one. Schmidt's goal, coming on a deflection in front of the net, was the
first of his career. Daley Baker stopped 7 shots in
the shutout.
