Heights picked up their second consecutive win by edging the North Olmsted Eagles 5-4. A
tough start saw the Tigers trailing 2-0 midway through the opening period, but
Jeff Hindulak and Brian
Clark tallied late goals to tie the score at intermission. In the second period,
Doug Turner scored a powerplay goal to give Heights the
lead. Brian Clark knocked in his second of the game during a goalmouth scramble before
North Olmsted answered with their third goal. The Tigers appeared to have lost a step in
the third period as North Olmsted tied the game and had numerous scoring chances. Heights
recaptured the momentum in the final minutes of the period when Doug Turner threaded a
rink-long pass to Eric Aber who converted on the
breakaway. Ben Gaglioti held on for his third win,
making 27 saves. |
