Heights followed their best offensive performance of the season with an embarrassing 3-0
loss to the Mentor Cardinals. All three Mentor goals came in the second period as The
Tigers continually turned the puck over inside their own blueline. Heights struggled to
create scoring opportunities all game, due in part to the fact that they spent a majority
of the game killing off penalties. The Tigers have now scored a total of nine goals in
their eight losses this season, with three of those losses being shutouts. This game
marked the Tigers' first loss to Mentor in at least three seasons, and most likely
knocked Heights out of contention for the tournament championship. |
