The Tigers finished their trip to Erie with a 3-1 loss to North Allegheny in the wee
hours of the morning. Heights seemed more prepared for this game than they had the
previous day against Erie McDowell, but their scoring problems had not gone away.
Allegheny took a one goal lead in the first period and put the game away with a
back-breaking shorthanded goal in the second period. Penalties once again caused
problems for Heights who totaled 34 minutes in the penalty box.
Doug Turner scored his seventh goal of the season
and fourth in two days to bring the Tigers within one, but Allegheny added an empty-net
goal to squash all of Heights' comeback hopes. |
