12/18/97 Shaker Heights 5 - Cleveland Heights 0
Heights got the annual Thornton Park Invitational Tournament started off on the wrong
foot with a shutout loss against host Shaker Heights. Although the Tigers played well
at times and didn't take many penalties, they were unable to capitalize on a number of
good scoring chances. Goaltender Andrew Markus
made 30 saves before being relieved by Matt
Crowell, who made one save in his first game of the season.
