Heights stumbled to a 7-1 loss against Aurora in divisional play. The Tigers had a solid
first period, working well in the offensive zone and getting scoring chances. But Heights
couldn't put the puck away, and they came out looking like a different team in the second
period. Their forecheck evaporated and they were sloppy in the defensive zone. The Greenmen
took advantage of their opportunities in front of the net, scoring on rebounds and
deflections to take a 4-0 lead. The Tigers finally scored in the third when defenseman
Trevor Plunkett rushed up the left wing and buried his
own rebound for his first goal of the year. Aurora tacked on a pair in the final minute,
and it ended at 7-1. |
