| The Tigers let a two-goal lead evaporate in the third period and ended up with an
overtime loss to Bethel Park at the Gilmour Invitational Tournament. Goals by
Marcus Dancy, Lee
Allen, and Dan Cross-Call gave Heights a 3-1 lead
late in the third period. However, when Bethel Park pulled their goaltender in favor of
a sixth attacker, the Tigers imploded in the defensive zone. Bethel Park scored twice in
the final minute of regulation to send the game into overtime. Heights had some good
scoring chances in the extra time but Bethel Park came up with the game-winner. The
Tigers' mistakes in the last minute of the third period helped to spoil a good game for
goaltender Matt Crowell, who totaled 26 saves. |
