Heights finished the Bethel Park MLK Tournament with a hard-hitting game against the
Scouts from Lake Forest, Illinois. The Tigers spent the majority of the first two periods
killing off penalties allowing Lake Forest to take a 2-0 lead. In the second period,
great plays by Justin Kalman and
Jeff Houser set up Pat
Collins for Heights' only goal. In the third period, Lake Forest got called for the
bulk of the penalties and it was the Tigers who had all of the scoring opportunities,
outshooting the Scouts 15-2. However, Heights continued to be plagued by the lack of a
finishing touch, and they couldn't come up with the tying goal.
Matt Crowell made 22 saves and the two teams finished
the game with a combined 21 penalties. |
