Heights bowed out of the Thornton Park Holiday Tournament with an unfortunate 2-1 defeat
against the Trinity Trojans. In the first period, the Tigers were in total control of
the game. They kept constant pressure on the Trojan defense and led 1-0 at the
intermission. With that slim lead, however, the Tigers became complacent. In the second
period, Heights stopped winning the battles for loose pucks, and allowed Trinity to tie
the score and get back in the game. Trinity scored the go-ahead goal early in the third
period and the stunned Tigers were unable to recover. Matt
Crowell stopped 25 shots in net while Milton Carter
scored his second goal of the year in only his second game played. |
