Game Summary for 1/19/97 Heights 3 - Garfield 2 (OT)
Heights rebounded from a loss to division rival Trinity with a victory over division rival Garfield. Jeff Hindulak's second goal of the season gave the Tigers a 2-0 lead but the Bulldogs came back to tie the game and force overtime. Goalie Andrew Markus kept Heights in the game with 41 saves until Jake Pollock scored the winner on a deflected shot. Another outstanding performance came from defenseman Doug Turner who scored for the second consecutive game and had several bone-jarring hits. This win gives the Tigers sole possession of first place in the Red South Division.
