Heights made an early statement en route to an 8-0 win over North Canton Hoover. Ben Urbas took the puck from the opening faceoff, skated in and scored on a backhand just 7 seconds into the game. The Tigers kept the pressure on the Vikings for the entire first period, scoring three more, including twice while shorthanded. Tyler Rudy chipped in one of the first period goals, then added two more in the second period for his third hat trick of the season. Urbas and Isaac Brown each finished with two goals, while Trey Hopkins had one. Hoover had a handful of great chances of their own, but Aidan Hall was up to the challenge, making 15 saves in his sixth shutout of the season. |
