Heights played a wild one with Chagrin Falls in their second matchup of the season. When these teams met ten days earlier at Progressive Field, Heights needed a shootout to take home a win. This time around, the teams traded goals and penalties all night long before Heights mounted a late comeback and won in overtime. Heights led 3-2 after the first period behind goals from Peter Century, Tyler Rudy and Dominic DiTirro. Chagrin came back with a pair in the second to move in front, then they scored early in the third to make it 5-3. With only three minutes left to play, Ben Urbas brought Heights back to life with a shorthanded goal. Trey Hopkins followed with a powerplay goal to even the score with just over one minute on the clock. The game moved to sudden-death overtime, where Tyler Rudy scored his second of the game, converting a 2-on-1 pass from Hopkins. Aidan Hall finished a busy night with 35 saves, including four in overtime. |
