Heights reached the championship of the NDCL Winter Invitational for a rematch of the tournament opener against Kenston. Goaltender Aidan Hall only allowed one goal in that previous matchup. He surpassed that performance in the rematch, stopping all 41 shots as the game remained scoreless through regulation and overtime. Both teams had scoring chances, but Kenston had more, outshooting the Tigers 41-22. When overtime couldn't produce a winner, it came down to a 5-round shootout. Tyler Rudy, Ian Kraus and Trey Hopkins each converted while Hall stopped three of the five Kenston shooters to bring home the championship trophy. |
