The Tigers avoided a repeat of last season's State Tournament debacle against Canfield, this time knocking off the Cardinals 7-2. Aided by a handful of Canfield penalties, Heights took 54 shots on goal and converted four powerplays. Jordan Shoger and Sam Brown each scored a pair in the second period to put the game out of reach at 6-1. Chris Zirm added a goal in the third, while Zack Murray and Ian Kraus each scored once in the first, putting the Tigers in front early. Liam Robinson made 12 saves in the win. |
