Heights lost a tough overtime battle in a divisional showdown against Mayfield. The Tigers had to scratch out a late goal just to force the extra period, but the Wildcats got the winner about a minute into OT. Trailing 2-1 with under two minutes to play, the Heights powerplay came up big. Sam Brown's shot from the point deflected off Ian Kraus in front of the net to tie it up. The powerplay unit accounted for both goals, marking the third straight game where the Tigers scored a pair with the man-advantage. Trevor Plunkett got the earlier goal, moving in from the blue line and shooting low on a second period powerplay. Liam Robinson kept Heights close throughout, turning aside 34 shots in the loss.
