Heights finished the Thornton Tournament with an 8-2 loss to Gilmour in the consolation
game. The Tigers had a solid first period despite a Gilmour goal in the opening minute.
Jason Kelce knocked in his fourth of the year to briefly
tie it, but Gilmour took a 2-1 lead into the break. In the second period, Heights' mistakes
started to pile up. The Lancers took advantage of nearly every opportunity, scoring three
in the second and three in the third. Gilmour scored eight times on just 26 shots.
Dee Samuel added a goal in the third, giving him nine on
the year. Kelce and Samuel each finished with a goal and an assist.
