Heights hit the ice for Saturday's second game, a meeting with the defending State
Champion St. Edward Eagles. The Tigers played very well through the first half of the
contest, but St. Eds put the game away as Heights tired in the latter half. Through the
first period and into the second, the Tigers were strong in the defensive zone. The
Eagles only put five shots on goal in the first period and they only led 1-0 at the
game's midway point. On the other side of the ice, Heights continued to come up empty in
the offensive zone, going scoreless in both Saturday games. Halfway into the second
period, the Tigers started making mistakes and St. Eds started cashing them in. They
scored three in the second, then three more in the third.
