Heights got the job done in an important league victory over the Bay Rockets. The Tigers
led for almost the entire game, but Bay kept fighting back and rarely trailed by more than
one goal. Jason Kelce got things started with a goal in
the first period. Dee Samuel made it 2-0 in the second,
but Bay responded minutes later and cut the lead in half. Kelce scored again late in the
period, but Bay came back early in the third to make it 3-2. Midway through the third,
Ethan Farris pushed the lead to 4-2, scoring on a
breakaway as a defenseman pulled him down from behind. That lead held for a while, but Bay
went to a sixth attacker and put one away with just over a minute remaining. The Rockets
stayed with the extra attacker and went for the tie, but Dee Samuel iced it with an
empty-net goal. Daley Baker had a tremendous game in
goal for the Tigers, stopping 24 shots.
