Heights squeaked out a come-from-behind victory over Amherst Steele for their second win
of the year. Back-to-back Amherst goals put the Comets ahead 4-2 late in the second period
before the Tigers rallied. Dee Samuel's shot from the
point found a hole and cut the lead to one just before the intermission. In the third
period, Paris Murray evened the score with his second
goal of the game. Then Dee Samuel struck again with a game-winning wrist shot after a
strong move out of the corner. He leads the team with 7 goals and 11 points. The game
ended in tense fashion as Heights had to kill off two penalties in the final three
minutes. Daley Baker and his 17 saves helped the Tigers
hang on through the final whistle. Ethan Farris also
scored in this game to go along with a pair of assists.
