Just two hours after upending Southview on Sunday afternoon, Heights faced off with
tournament host Thomas Worthington. The Tigers failed to do the things that made them
successful in the first two games of the tournament, and the Cardinals took full
advantage. Ill-advised passes turned into Worthington breakaways, and poor coverage in
front of the net led to point-blank shots. Already down 4-0 midway through the second
period, Heights gave up three goals in 60 seconds to put the game out of reach. The
Tigers' only offense was provided by Dee Samuel, who
came up with two unassisted goals, giving him ten on the year.
