Recap

The Tigers gave a nearly identical performance to the previous night in the Heights Holiday Tournament, but this time they couldn't salvage a win. Heights controlled the game in the offensive zone for long stretches, but couldn't put the puck away. The Tigers fired 19 shots on net in the first period alone, but emerged with only one goal. Erik Shoger's third of the season knotted the game at one, and that score held until late in the second period when Orange went back on top. In the previous night's game versus NDCL, Heights came back to win with two late goals. The Tigers couldn't repeat that feat against Orange. Despite plenty of scoring chances, Heights came up empty. Orange made it 3-1 with an empty-netter at the final buzzer. Dan Crowell assisted on the lone goal, picking up a point in his fourth straight game. Not a single penalty was called in the match, making it the only penalty-free game that the Tigers have played in the past two seasons.
