Saturday morning in the St. Charles Thanksgiving Tournament, Heights faced the Toledo St. Francis JV team. Freshman John Mates made his debut in goal, turning aside 26 shots for a 5-0 win and his first shutout. Co-captain Josh Janor provided the winning goal just 11 seconds after the opening faceoff. Jason Kelce did most of the damage, scoring twice and adding an assist. Chaz Rice converted a second period breakaway for his first career goal, and Dan Holmes finished the scoring with a goal in the third.
