The Tigers held on for a 2-1 win at home against Kenston. Heights spent most of the game
in the offensive zone, but they didn't capitalize on many scoring chances. The Tigers
outshot Kenston 13-1 in the first period, but came away scoreless. The team finally got
on the board in the second period when defenseman
Erik Shoger carried the puck into the zone on the right
wing and scored on a wrist shot. The Bombers came back to tie the game on a breakaway ten
minutes in, but Heights answered quickly. Shoger's second goal of the game, a shot that
found the net through a maze of sticks and legs, came just 90 seconds later. The Tigers
held on through the third period, and finished the game with a sizeable 28-8 shot
advantage. The two tallies gave Shoger his first career multi-goal game.
