The Tigers lost for the third time in four days, falling 5-3 at home against Western
Reserve Academy. Heights had every opportunity to win this game, thanks in part to WRA
penalties, but the Tigers' season-long powerplay struggles continued. The scoring started
early in the first period, as Paris Murray and
Dee Samuel each registered goals, and the score stood
2-2 after five minutes of play. Heights would spend almost half the period on the
powerplay, racking up 15 shots, but failing to take the lead. WRA went ahead 4-2 in the
second, then the Tigers finally got a powerplay goal in the third.
Josh Janor's seventh score of the season made it 4-3.
Heights followed with yet another 2-man advantage, but they couldn't put away key
rebounds to tie the game. The Pioneers eventually scored on an open net with four seconds
remaining.
