Injuries left the Tigers short-handed against Hudson but not even the absence of two
key defensemen can excuse nine goals allowed. Heights defenders could not hold their
ground in front of their own net. Nearly all of Hudson's goals were scored from within
five feet of the Tigers' crease. Although outshot 40-24, Heights' offense had many high
quality scoring opportunities. The Tigers came up short on multiple two-man advantages,
breakaways, point-blank shots, and even an empty-net chance. The three Heights goals
were registered by Chris Pesek,
Ben Winger and
Carl Rose. Winger, who has six goals this season, has
scored in each of the Tigers' last four contests.
