The consolation game of the Heights Holiday Tournament saw the Tigers fall to Normandy
in overtime by a score of 2-1. Although the final score was close, this was not a
particularly good performance for Heights. The majority of the game was played in the
Tigers' zone as the team was consistently unable to start any offensive attack. Once
again, Heights relied on goalkeeper Ben Gaglioti to
keep them in the game. Gaglioti stopped shot after shot, totaling 35 saves. The lone
Heights goal came in the second period. John Schmidt
forced a turnover in the Normandy zone and fed the puck to
Ben Winger who scored his fourth goal of the
tournament. The Tigers dropped to 0-2-1 in overtime this season. The game marked
Normandy's first OT win this year in their sixth try. They had previously been 0-2-3
in overtime.
