Heights snapped their two-game scoreless streak, but the offense still came up short
in a 6-3 loss to Padua. The Tigers' scored three times despite only 15 shots on goal
as they kept up their habit of missing the net on prime scoring chances. Heights'
only tally through two periods came courtesy of
Jared Lavender, who continues to sharpen his
offensive game. Scoring picked up in the third period as the teams traded goals back
and forth. Padua scored to take a 4-1 lead, but a knuckling shot from
Carl Rose brought Heights back within two. Padua
quickly restored their three-goal advantage, but a slapshot from the point gave
Dan Cross-Call a powerplay goal and kept Heights
close. Alas, the Tigers never got any closer and an empty-netter for Padua finished
the scoring.
